Description
FeSiMn granules are commonly used in metallurgical applications, specifically in the production of steel. FeSiMn granules are typically added to the molten steel during the steelmaking process as a deoxidizer and desulfurizer.
The addition of FeSiMn granules to the molten steel helps to remove oxygen and sulfur from the melt, which can cause defects in the finished product. The manganese in the FeSiMn acts as a deoxidizer, reducing the amount of oxygen in the melt, while the silicon acts as a desulfurizer, reducing the amount of sulfur in the melt.
FeSiMn granules are preferred over FeSiMn powder in metallurgical applications due to their lower dust generation and improved handling characteristics. The granules are also more effective in the deoxidation and desulfurization of the melt, as they provide a larger surface area for reaction and better distribution in the melt.

Packing
Bulk bags: FeSiMn is often packed in large bulk bags, usually made of woven polypropylene. The bags can hold anywhere from 500kg to 2000kg of FeSiMn and are suitable for shipping by sea, rail or truck.
Drums: FeSiMn can be packed in 55-gallon (208 liter) drums, which can hold around 200kg of the alloy. Drums are ideal for smaller shipments or for customers with limited storage space.
Cored wire: FeSiMn can also be packaged in the form of cored wire, which consists of a steel wire filled with FeSiMn powder. The cored wire is used for injection into the molten metal during the steelmaking or casting process. Cored wire is an efficient way to add FeSiMn to the melt, and reduces the risk of contamination compared to adding solid alloy.
Custom packaging: Some suppliers may offer custom packaging solutions to meet the specific requirements of customers, such as smaller bag sizes or special labeling.
